G. Scott Staples – Attorney at Law

Scott Staples, born in Glasgow, Kentucky in 1960, graduated from Woodford County High School in 1978. In 1982, he received his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Kentucky. He completed his law degree at the University of Louisville College of Law and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar Association in 1985. As part of his legal experience, Scott practiced tax litigation for the Department of Revenue from 1985 until 1988, at which time he began his private practice in Versailles and later served as the Domestic Relations Commissioner in Woodford County, Kentucky.
In December 2008, Scott Staples joined Michael L. Hawkins & Associates. Scott primarily focuses on criminal law, but also regularly practices family law and civil litigation for the firm.
